How do I explain high churn when raising capital for a SaaS company?
We have about $2.4M ARR, strong gross margin, and around 6% monthly churn. Growth is still positive, but investors keep asking whether churn makes the revenue low quality. Should I lead with growth, retention, or customer segmentation?

Do not hide the churn. Break it down. If small customers churn but mid-market customers stay, show that clearly. Investors will want cohort retention, churn by plan, churn by acquisition channel, and expansion revenue. The worst answer is “we are fixing it.” The better answer is: here is where churn happens, here is why, here is what improved, and here is what capital will change.
We had the same issue. Our churn looked bad until we separated trial users, small monthly accounts, and annual customers. Once investors saw that annual accounts were stable, the conversation changed. Segment before you defend the number.
Also show net revenue retention, not just logo churn. If larger customers expand while small customers leave, the story may be stronger than the headline churn suggests.
